Issue Moves

After a move has been approved by all approving managers or by the auto-approve function, the move is ready to be issued by the move coordinator. Issuing the move sets the move in motion and all the employees, craftspersons, and additional contractors who have a role in the move begin to complete their tasks.

Before issuing the move, you can still make changes to it:

After you issue a move, the system generates email notification to the following:

If you decide that you don't want to issue this move order, you can cancel it. See Canceling Approved Moves.

Prerequisite: If your move scenario is based on a layout scenario, the CAD user must first merge the selected layout scenario with the official inventory. Otherwise, new rooms that you created as part of the layout scenario will not be available when the Issue command verifies that the "To" location fields of the move project exist in inventory.

Procedure

  1. Select the Move Coordinator / Move Console task.
  2. In the Move Console's Move List, expand the heading "Approved"
  3. In the Move List, select one or moves that you want to approve by clicking on their checkboxes; the Issue button appears above this list. Click this button. The Move Status field updated to "Issued and In Process."

  4. Alternatively, from the Move List, select a move by clicking on its ID. You move to the Review Details tab where you can review details and make changes. Review the move and change any fields as necessary. These are the same tabs and fields that are available when requesting a move.
  5. When satisfied, click the Issue button.
  6. The Status updates to "Issued and In Process." The issued moves now appear in the Issued and In Process section of the Move Console.
