Getting Started: Overview

This section includes the basic skills to get started using Archibus Smart Client. In this section, you become familiar with the Archibus Smart Client workspace and its tools for accessing commands. As you work with specific reports, drawings, and database tables in later sections, you will see how the program uses the various parts of the application workspace and provides a streamlined interface that focuses on the task at hand.

This section also introduces the Archibus Help system, which provides a wealth of information on using the program and is a valuable resource for further exploring the program and its application areas on your own.

Sharing facilities information with others in your company can be an important part of your job. You may need to provide upper-level management with detailed chargeback analysis, space planners with floor plan drawings that highlight vacant suites, or maintenance personnel with equipment plans showing the location of equipment. No matter the facilities information you are disseminating, you will want to present it in an easy-to-read format that incorporates any relevant graphics. With Archibus's paginated reports, you can easily generate the most commonly needed facilities reports by generating them using the Paginated Report action button.
