Setting Up Hoteling (Background Data process)
The business process owner focuses on setting up the Hoteling application so that others across the site can use it. The business process owner understands the manner in which the site wants to implement the Hoteling application and uses this knowledge to establish the rooms that are available for booking, the approval and notification processes, as well as the types of rooms to which employees have access. They must also understand the overall facility in order to establish the basic information about the facility (the facility background data).
All of the data development and configuration tasks are grouped together in the Workplace Services / Hoteling / Background Data process.
Hoteling Configuration Tasks
The business process owner defines the way that the Hoteling application operates at their site. The information you set here applies to requests for working space made with the Create Room Bookings task as well as requests made with Archibus Workplace or the Workplace Services Portal mobile app.
Facilities Background Data Tasks
The business process owner may also need to develop the following facilities background data. If your site uses other Archibus applications, you may find that you have already created this data.
When editing existing data, you can use the filter console, located at the top of the view, to limit the display of the locations and organizations to only those containing the value you enter in the filter console. See Using Filter Consoles. Some tasks use a drill-down selection list to present the levels of location and organization data. See Using Drill-Down Selection Lists.
Developing resources is optional for Hoteling. When choosing a room to book, you can check if unlimited resources are available for the room .
