Adding Application-Specific Options to a Panel
When you create a new panel, in addition to adding processes and tasks or Favorites, you add application-specific content. You can add:
- Metrics Process Scorecard
- Horizontal Bar Chart
- Alerts List
- Map
The type of application-specific item you determines the options that appear on the Properties form. When completing the Properties form, you will choose from a list of scorecards and metrics that you have already developed. For information on scorecards, metrics, and granularity, see Performance Metrics: Overview and How to Define a Metric.
When you create or edit a metric panel, the system updates home page descriptor (XML) file.
Metrics Process Scorecard
If you choose Metrics Process Scorecard as the Control Type, you complete the following form. To complete the Scorecard field, you choose from a list of scorecards that you already developed using the System / Add-In Manager / Define Scorecards task.
Horizontal Bar Chart
For a Control Type of Horizontal Bar Chart, you complete the following form.
Alerts List
The Home Page Editor presents this form if you choose Alert for Control Type. For information on alerts, see How to Define a Count (Alert) Metric.
Map
You specify these fields for a map panel. For information on the Map Implementation, Basemap Layer, and Marker Radius options, see Map Panels.
