Waste Storage Reports
The Waste Storage Summary and Hazardous Waste Storage reports enable you to track all waste that has a Status of Stored. This waste is either in centralized storage areas or tanks (that is, its Area Type is either Storage or Tank). These reports provide a snapshot of the waste that is stored in these ways with links to review details for each instance of waste. Since these areas are subject to specific storage regulations, it is critical to monitor the waste to ensure that it is maintained as required. The Hazardous Waste Storage report includes color-coded alerts to indicate waste that is approaching or has exceeded regulatory deadlines or quantity limits.
Waste Storage Summary
This report shows a list of your currently stored waste by the storage area or tank in which it is stored. The report includes both hazardous and non-hazardous waste, as indicated by the Waste Type shown for the waste in the Waste Details panel. From this report, you can:
- Select a storage or tank area to view in the Waste Details pane all the waste currently stored there. You can export this list of waste (or a subset of the list that you select) to Excel by clicking XLS.
- View details for a waste record by clicking View Waste in the row for the waste in the Waste Details pane. From the Waste Details pop-up window you can export the information for that waste to a .DOCX file by clicking DOCX.
Hazardous Waste Storage
The Hazardous Waste Storage report enables you to review all waste records that have a status of “Stored” and that have a waste profile whose waste type is “Hazardous”. It provides a detailed informational report about hazardous waste storage.
This report can be generated for waste having an area type of "Storage" or "Tank"., or for both. You cannot generate it for waste having an Area Type of Satellite Accumulation. For Satellite Accumulations, generate the Hazardous Waste Accumulation report.
From the Hazardous Waste Storage report, you can:
- Filter the report to target only specific locations (sites, properties, Area Types, or specific tanks or storage areas).
- View color-coded highlighting that identifies the waste that is reaching or has surpassed critical deadlines. See About the Alerts in the Hazardous Waste Storage Report.
- Generate a PDF that includes all records shown in the grid or only a subset that you select. The PDF includes the details shown for the waste, such as SDS Code, Waste Category, Waste Name, and quantity.
- View details for a waste record by clicking View Waste in the row for the waste in the Waste Details pane. From the Waste Details pop-up window you can export the information for that waste to a .DOCX file by clicking DOCX.
About the Alerts in the Hazardous Waste Storage Report
The list of waste in the Hazardous Waste Storage report includes color-coded highlighting that is based on the following applications parameters entered by your Business Process Owner:
Alert Description | Alert Color | Determined by this application parameter |
---|---|---|
Waste Storage exceeds xx days for a large quantity generator For large-quantity waste generators, this alert indicates that the maximum number of days of storage permitted has been exceeded. The number of days of storage is calculated based on the maximum number of days entered for the application parameter and the Date Start entered for the waste. |
Red | haz_days_large_gen |
Waste Storage exceeds xx days for a small quantity generator For small-quantity waste generators, this alert indicates that the maximum number of days of storage permitted has been exceeded. The number of days of storage is calculated based on the maximum number of days entered for the application parameter and the Date Start entered for the waste. |
Red | haz_days_small_gen |
Waste storage is within xx days of deadline This orange warning indicates that the deadline for the red warning is coming soon. Records having this orange highlight are a specified number of days before the hazardous waste storage limit at which the red warning appears. The storage deadline uses the Date Start for the earliest quantity of waste added to the container/tank/location. The number of days from the Date Start used to determine the deadline depends on whether the waste generator is a Small Quantity, Large Quantity, or N/A generator type. |
