Waste Accumulation Reports

The Waste Accumulation Summary and Hazardous Waste Accumulation reports enable you to track the waste you are storing in satellite accumulation areas. These reports provide a snapshot of the waste that is stored in this way with links to review details for each instance of waste. Since these areas are subject to specific storage regulations, it is critical to monitor the waste stored in satellite accumulation areas to ensure that the waste is maintained as required. The Hazardous Waste Accumulation report includes color-coded alerts to indicate waste that is approaching or has exceeded regulatory deadlines.

Waste Accumulation Summary

This report shows a list of your waste currently stored in satellite accumulation areas. The list includes both hazardous and non-hazardous waste, as indicated by the Waste Type listed for the waste in the Waste Details panel. From this report, you can:

Hazardous Waste Accumulation

This report enables you to view all waste records that have a status of “Accumulated” and that have a waste profile whose waste type is “Hazardous.” It is a detailed informational report about the hazardous waste in satellite areas, which is subject to regulations specific to its satellite location.

From this report, you can:

About the Alerts in the Hazardous Waste Accumulation Reports

The list of waste in the Hazardous Waste Accumulation report includes color-coded highlighting that is based on the following applications parameters entered by your Business Process Owner:

Alert Description Alert Color Determined by this application parameter

Waste accumulation exceeds xx days:

Waste Accumulation exceeds the maximum number of days permitted from the time waste first enters the container (based on the waste's Date Start) before which this satellite accumulation container must be emptied or moved to a waste storage location.

This alert is based on the following calculation: Today – date_start >= satellite_days_accum_limit

Red

satellite_days_accum_limit

Waste accumulation exceeds xx gallons

Waste Accumulation exceeds the maximum number of gallons that a satellite accumulation container can store before it must be emptied or moved to a waste storage location.

This alert is based on the following calculation: (unit type is VOLUME-LIQUID) AND (quantity converted to gallons >= satellite_volume_limit))

Note: The satellite_volume_limit parameter sets satellite accumulation quantity restrictions in gallons. If you record your accumulation in units of mass, the Hazardous Waste Accumulation Report will not display warnings based on the mass quantity limit. However, because the application does allow edits to the Accumulated records, once an accumulation container becomes full, you can edit the record and change the unit type, units, and quantity to the full-volume amount for the container. This will result in the accumulation being shown with the appropriate warning.

Red

satellite_volume_limit

Waste accumulation has been full for more than xx days

Waste accumulation has been full for more than the maximum number of days that accumulated waste may legally remain at a satellite accumulation location once the volume of waste there reaches the limit.

This alert is based on the following calculation:

((Today – date_end >= satellite_days_full_limit) AND (quantity converted to gallons >= satellite_volume_limit))

Red satellite_days_full_limit

Waste Accumulation is within xx days of the deadline

This orange warning indicates that the deadline for the red warning is coming soon. Records having this highlight are a specified number of days before the hazardous waste accumulation limit at which the red warning appears.

This alert is based on the following calculations:

Today – date_start >= (satellite_days_accum_limit – satellite_days_deadline)

Note: If both red and orange conditions are true for a record, red takes priority.

Gold

satellite_days_deadline

The hazardous waste accumulation limit is determined by the number of days entered in the satellite_days_accum_limit parameter.
