fire asset
Fire assets are designed to restrict the movement of fire in a building. Fire assets include fire walls, fire doors, fire windows, fire dampers, and so on. Together, these items form a fire barrier. Fire assets are common in medical facilities.
In Archibus Healthcare, fire assets are stored in the Equipment table. If desired, you can use the Equipment Systems Console to model your fire assets as a series of components and assemblies and then group these items into an equipment system so that they represent the complete fire barrier.
When modeling fire assets with Archibus Healthcare, you enter a fire rating (the total hours that this type of item can withstand a fire outbreak) in the Equipment Standard records (the eqstd. fire_rating field). You then assign the Equipment Standard to the Equipment record defining the fire asset.
In the sample data for Archibus Healthcare, the HUMC building contains several fire doors and fire walls that are stored in the Equipment table and have Equipment Standards that include a Fire Rating value.
