Sustainability Assessment

Providing an environmentally-friendly building that improves the balance between people and facilities is an important philosophy for many companies. Not only can an environmentally-friendly building provide a healthy environment for employees and the surrounding community, it can improve efficiency and reduce costs. Regular sustainability assessment enables organizations to  conduct business in ways that ensure the long-term future of the planet, its resources, and its people.

With the Sustainability Assessment application, you first document and diagnose the “green” state of your facility by asking the following types of questions for each equipment item and location:

Once you identify problems in your facility, you can plan how to resolve them using the application's prioritizing and cost estimating tools. You can then manage their resolution using the tasks of this application. If you have the Corrective Maintenance application, you can use work orders to manage the resolution process.

With the Sustainability Assessment application, you focus on ranking your environmental issues, including hazardous materials. For information on the ways that other Archibus applications support the management of hazardous materials, see Managing Hazardous Materials with Archibus Applications.
