Sample Users

The sample HQ database contains the following sample users. You can experiment with Archibus by signing in as these users. For information on working with these sample users in non-English locales, see Set a Sample Archibus Foundations or SaaS User to a Non-English Locale.

If you wish to sign in as these sample users, you can obtain the user passwords from Archibus Technical Support.

User Sign-in Name Major Tasks Interface Role

Self-Service Employee or Building Guest

Select the "Sign in as Guest" option on the Archibus sign-in page.

Make requests for maintenance, conference rooms, working space, moves.

Locate employees and departments on floor plans.

Note: By default, the GUEST account is enabled. Clients who want to ensure that visitors cannot access the system can disable the Guest account by having their SaaS Partner Administrator delete the GUEST records in the Archibus Users (afm_users) table.

Archibus Workplace GUEST
Self-Service Department Manager AFM-EM

All of the features of the GUEST user, plus:

  • Request a group move
  • Request a move for a team member
  • Add new employees to your department's employee list
  • Release the office of a departing employee

Note: The AFM-EM user has department manager features because it is designated as a department manager in the Employees table or Departments table. See Set up a department manager to access the manager features of Archibus Workplace.
