GDPR
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European regulation that provides rules for preserving the privacy of personal data for all European Union (EU) citizens, employees, and customers.
"Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (a data subject). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by
- a name
- an identification number
- location data
- an online identifier
- one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person
Since the Archibus database can hold several fields of personal information, the Archibus schema provides views, workflow rules, and database fields to support GDPR regulations, such as the ability to remove personal information once the data subject no longer accesses the system; for example, after the party has left the company (an employee) or no longer contacts the company (such as an external craftsperson ).
