Sustainability & Risk / Green Building / Carbon Footprint - Review
Footprints by Source Detail Report
The Footprint by Source Detail report enables you to review total emissions by scope for the sites, buildings, calculation years, footprint scenarios, and emissions scopes you select. You can then drill down to see the totals for the source category emissions included in each of the scope totals.
Use this report to get a high level summary of emissions and their sources for a single or multiple locations, years, or footprint scenarios. You can generate the report for all scopes or any subset of scopes (Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3, or Other Emissions), enabling you to target the specific emissions you want to report on.
Filtering the Report
Use the Filter console to select the sites or buildings for which you want to generate the report. The Select Values lists in the Filter console include the sites, buildings, and years for which the application has calculated footprint emissions.
When selecting from the Filter console be aware that certain selections you make affect the data that is available for subsequent selections. For example, when you select a Calculation Year, the Building and Site fields are restricted to show only the locations that have footprint data calculated for the selected year. This ensures that you make only selections for which data is available.
The Filter console includes the following selections:
Filter Field | Description |
---|---|
Site or Building |
You must select a site or a building. See Selecting Multiple Values from Select Value Lists. When you make a selection, you select a specific footprint scenario and calculation year for which emissions data has been calculated for the site or building. Make a selection for each year and footprint scenario that you want to include in the report. |
Scenario Code Calculation Year |
You can select one or more scenarios, or you can leave the Scenario Code field blank to include all scenarios in the report. You must select one or more Calculation Years. Note: In the Select Values list, sites or buildings are listed by their footprint scenario and calculation year. This means when you select a site or building, you also select a scenario and calculation year. For this reason, selecting a site or building first can be the most efficient way to make filter selections. |
Emission Scope # | You can also restrict by any emission scope (Scope 1 , Scope 2, Scope 3, or Other Emissions). You can select one or more scopes to include in the report. |
Totals Per Area | Select this check box to view Total Emissions divided by the gross area of the building or site. This enables you to compare emissions for different locations by adjusting for the location's size. The calculation uses the Ext. Gross Area entered for the building on the Building Footprint Details tab of the Enter Building Footprint Data task. By default, this check box is not selected, so that the application shows Total Emissions for each building or site. |
Reviewing Scope and Scope Sources Emissions by Location
When you generate the Footprints by Source Detail report, the report presents the Scopes tab. The Scopes tab provides total emissions for each building or site, and a total, shown in the last row, for all buildings and sites; select any row for a scope to move to the Scope Sources tab to view the source categories that are included in the selected total.
