Activating Workflow Rules

You can use the Define Workflow Rules task to activate and deactivate workflow rules that have been set up for your site.

For example, if you no longer want the Preventive Maintenance schedules to be generated automatically at scheduled interval, you can deactivate the AbBldgOpsPM-runPMGeneration rule that is updating these schedules.

To activate or deactivate a rule:

  1. Choose Define Workflow Rules task from one of the above locations.
  2. Select an application to which the rule belongs, and then the rule itself
  3. In the Active? section, select the Yes or No drop-down value to activate or deactivate a rule.
  4. Click Save to save your changes.
  5. Restart the application server to reload workflow rules. On Archibus SaaS deployments, you must contact Customer Support and request a restart of the cloud environment.
