Developer Portal

For Archibus SaaS, the Developer Portal is an add-on that enables partners to offer customers specific personalization outside of the standard off-the-shelf Archibus SaaS modules. With the Developer Portal, partners can create new views and reports, as well as modify existing views and reports. The Developer Portal is activated at an additional cost.

Partners can change the following:

All changes to Workplace and mobile apps (current or new framework) are considered modifications to existing views, and therefore must include a merge process and should be handled in partnership with Archibus.

For new items, the partner creates new views, DUW scripts, and workflow rules in new and separate folders in the repository; these folders do not interfere with future releases of Archibus software.

For modifications to existing views, the partner copies an existing view to a new folder within the repository, renames the file, makes changes to that view, and adds it to the Navigator. If there are future improvements to the standard view, the changes are not incorporated into the modified view unless the partner merges their changes with the standard view. Merging changes should be handled in partnership with Archibus.

Since Archibus releases new versions and deploys new releases either through its own SaaS or through partners, partners are responsible for merging and deploying anything created with the Developer Portal. The partner is responsible to support any and all customizations that they submit and approve for production release. Partners are responsible for any incurred costs associated with deploying fixes and investigating and troubleshooting the customization.
