Archibus and Serraview Integration
Story 2: Prepare Drawings
(Export Serraview Data to Archibus)
For Serraview drawings destined for Archibus, you must initially define layers. After that, the Drawing Converter runs on the set of floors where those layers apply.
Floor plan exports from Serraview, and conversion into SVG using the Archibus Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD, is largely a manual process.
- In Serraview Portfolio Manager, export the DWG files.
- Place the DWG files in a folder that the Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD can access.
- In Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD, use the Drawing Converter tool (AiSvDwgConverter.exe) to convert the DWG files to SVG.
- The converter first validates layers.
- For information on the Drawing Converter, see Preparing CAD Floor Plans for Serraview in Archibus User Help.
