2.0 view
This refers to a rich-interface view (.axvw) in the form supported by Archibus v17.2 and later releases. Rich-interface views use technologies such as AJAX and direct-Web remoting to update portions of the screen to give a quick and immediate response. This is distinct from the previous style of “page-based” Web interaction that replaced the entire page with every mouse click or request.
Compared to 1.0 views, these views use a less verbose syntax, have richer features for datasources and components of the interface, and support frameless layouts. They also use more highly scalable server-side features to provide applications that execute more quickly when supporting large numbers of users.
These views do not support the MDX or XSL features, which are supported by 1.0 views.
The “2.0” version number appears in the header of these view files.
The Smart Client applications use 2.0 views; v2.0 views can also display in Archibus Web Central.
