service request status
The status of a service request changes during its lifecycle, such as changing from Created, to Requested, to Rejected. The system can pass back the request status to the requestor in order to inform the requestor of the current status of their request.
The status is limited to the following status values, as stored in the Action Items table:
- Created
- Requested
- Approved
- In Process
- Completed
- Stopped
- Canceled
- Closed
- Rejected
For various statuses, the service desk manager can define additional steps, such as asking the requestor to complete a survey for the Completed status.
