allocation event (Portfolio Forecast Wizard)

A proposed allocation of space to an organizational unit for a specific time period, such as an allocation of space to a group within your organization that is expanding, to a group that is downsizing, or to a group that is moving. These group allocation events are used in scenarios to forecast space availability using different allocations.

Allocation events are stored in the Groups table as group allocation records for a particular Portfolio Scenario that covers a specific time period. However, the areas for group allocation events can be based on groups or rooms, or leases. These area values are derived from CAD, if available; otherwise they are based on areas that are manually entered. Group records that represent a group allocation will have a value in the Portfolio Scenario ID field, while group records that represent your current group inventory will not.
