work team

Work teams are groups of supervisors, estimators, planners, and craftspersons who are responsible for work at a site or a group of sites.  A work team can be based on a specialized trade or on a site or region, such as the Elevator Team, the Rotterdam Building and Grounds team, or the Belgium Networking Team.

A work team can have multiple supervisors as well as multiple craftspersons, but must have at least one supervisor.

Maintenance workers can belong to more than one work team. If a supervisor is on multiple teams, he or she can see and manage work for those teams, and craftsperson can be assigned work for any of the work teams they are on.

Craftspersons, estimators, planners, and supervisors are assigned to work teams via the Work Team Code field of the Craftspersons table. In the Craftspersons table, the fields Is Supervisor?, Is Planner?, and Is Estimator? determine the person's role within the work team.
