energy baseline period

The period to use as the basis of comparison for energy consumption for a building. The starting month and year for the baseline period is entered for each building. The system uses the next 24 months as the baseline period. This period could be right before you made some change in your energy program; by specifying the energy baseline period, you can compare energy consumption before the change was implemented to subsequent years when the change was in effect. However, to see how a building's energy consumption is trending, you can select any starting point for the baseline period.

You can specify the starting point for the energy baseline period for each building from the Energy application when you enter building information using the Sustainability & Risk / Energy / Background Data - Facilities / Define Locations task.
