compliance survey
A series of questions that a field technician answers when inspecting compliance-related items on site either using the Compliance Surveys mobile app or using Compliance Web Central views on a laptop or tablet. If you have the Preventive Maintenance or Corrective Maintenance application, you can also complete compliance surveys with the Maintenance mobile app.
The compliance survey consists of a questionnaire that contains one or more questions. The questionnaire is built on the extended questionnaire system.
Typically, compliance surveys are used in these situations:
- verify that contracted work was correctly completed according to the terms of the contract. For example, you might inspect an elevator to verify that the contractor hired to manage elevator maintenance completed the work according to the contract terms, which might include arranging for inspection by certified personnel. In this case, the survey's questionnaire is tied to a contract term.
- verify that items in the facility meet standards and are in compliance with regulations. For example, you might inspect that an exit is clear and meets egress regulations. In this case, the survey's questionnaire is tied to a program requirement.
