communication log
A record that documents the communications that you have had concerning an action item, assessment item, lease, project, or compliance item. For example, you may use a communication log to record a conversation, a meeting summary, communication attempts, and so on. Each log item can have linked documents, such as meeting notes, permits, budgets, and permits.
Once a communication log is saved, it cannot be edited or deleted. This design supports using communication logs for internal and external audits of events that occur on site. If users have errors in their initial communication log, they can always create a follow-up communication log to clarify their initial text.
Communication logs are used in multiple Archibus applications. For example:
- in Projects, communication logs are assigned to action items
- in Hazard Abatement they are assigned to assessment items or action items
- in Compliance, they are assigned to regulations, compliance programs, requirements, locations, events, contracts, or contract terms.
- in Leases application and module, they are assigned to leases, and optionally to action items and projects
- in Commissioning, they are assigned to projects.
