Ensuring a safe working environment that adheres to all government regulations is a priority for any organization, not only to avoid costly violation fines, but more importantly, to protect a company's most valuable assets --- the lives and health of its employees. The Archibus Health & Safety application manages the vital components of a company's safety program, as well as provides a system for tracking workplace accidents (incidents) when they do occur. With this wealth of information, safety officers can:

document and track health and safety incidents that do occur.
- If safety officers have access to the Incidents Reporting mobile app, they can start this process right from the accident scene using their smart phones and then sync the device to upload the data to the database.
track post-incident medical treatment
analyze safety incidents and take action to minimize their future occurrence
develop the requirements for the corporate safety program and ensure that each individual employee meets these requirements
manage prohibitions against employees performing tasks that compromise their health and safety
maintain a comprehensive health and safety document library

to access their required training programs, PPE, and medical monitoring so that they can take responsibility for meeting these requirements.

The following users work with safety programs:

User	Tasks
Safety Officer	Track workplace accidents and the affected employees by noting causes, responses, witnesses, injuries, corrective actions, and so on. If the site is using the Incidents Reporting mobile app, safety officers can review the data that is reported from the field using mobile devices and then add to it as necessary. Analyze workplace accidents in order to reduce future occurrences and improve overall safety. Create and manage requirements for training, medical monitoring, and PPE for each particular job type (work category) and then assign these requirements in bulk to individual employees. Assign employee-specific training, PPE, and medical monitoring to an employee. Manage restrictions against employees performing certain tasks, whether due to general medical conditions, injuries sustained on the job, or general safety conditions, such as a lack of training or protective equipment. Define schedules for training programs, PPE distribution, and medical visits. Monitor upcoming and overdue safety program requirements. File OSHA and other required accident reports. Manage the library of safety-related documents.
Facilities Manager	Identify concentrations of illness or accidents in a building area and then take action to determine cause and solution. Clean up after workplace accidents using the service request system.
System Administrator	Implement a system for automatically notifying employees of upcoming safety requirements. Implement a system for automatically notifying safety officers of accident reports and updates to accident reports.
Employee	Review assigned training programs, PPE, medical visits, and work restrictions. Review reports of workplace accidents they are involved in. Use self-service forms to enter workplace accidents that occur. If the employee has access to the Incident Reporting mobile app, they can report incidents using their smart phones and then sync the device to upload the data to the database.
Teacher or Doctor	Certify that required training or medical exams are complete. Note missed training opportunities and medical visits.
Auditor	Review safety-related documents, policies, and audit results.
