Comparing asset tables and drawings and updating drawings by adding or removing asset symbols. Populating updates drawings according to the spatial information of the asset tables. If a table has a record with location information and the location in the drawing does not have an asset symbol for this record, population places the appropriate asset symbol in the appropriate location in the drawing, and connects the symbol and record. Similarly, population can remove asset symbols that do not have corresponding records.
Population consults the record’s standard for information on the block to use as the basis for the generated asset symbol.
Population is useful for updating drawings if asset tables have been edited when the corresponding drawings are not loaded, or if database records have been entered for which you now wish to generate asset symbols.
