Archibus mobile app
An Archibus application that runs on a mobile device so that users can access Archibus data and forms when they do not have network or Wi-Fi connection to the Archibus database. Users of the Archibus mobile apps sync their mobile devices with the Archibus server to download the latest data from the server and to update the Archibus server with data they collect in the field.
Archibus mobile apps complement the Web Central applications, such as the Maintenance mobile app being used in conjunction with the Archibus Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance applications.
Examples are:
- the Maintenance app, which craftspersons use to access their list of work and update the system with details of the job
- the Asset & Equipment Survey app, which field assessors use to survey the equipment content of a room and compare to the electronic inventory
- the Space Book app, with which facilities managers can access floor plans and space inventory information from their mobile device. The app also includes tasks for surveying rooms and comparing their properties to the electronic inventory. In order to best view floor plan drawings, users will wish to run this app on a tablet and not a smart phone.
In order to use an Archibus mobile app, the user must download the Archibus Mobile Client to the mobile device and the user must be authorized (via the Archibus Users table) to have access to the mobile app.
