document library
An extension of the Archibus document management system that enables you to:
- organize your documents by category and type so that you can filter on category to quickly find a document.
- organize your documents into a series of subfolders.
- assign an unlimited number of documents to a particular record.
- store documents that are not associated with any particular record, such as a particular compliance regulation, in the Archibus document management system. For example, you may wish to store general procedures, best practices, and audit checklists, which do not apply to one specific record, in the system.
- store documents across all Archibus applications. While working with a particular application's task, you can access only documents for that domain. However, all documents are stored in the same library.
Certain Archibus applications -- such as Health & Safety, Leases, and Compliance -- take advantage of the document library component of the Archibus document management system. When using these applications, you can work with a Documents tab or task to upload and associate multiple documents with a record. These documents automatically become part of the document library. You can also complete a document field, and the system automatically adds the document to the document library.
Additionally, the Health & Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and Compliance applications provide tasks for directly accessing the document library so that you can work with all documents in the library, add documents that are not associated with a particular records, search for documents by folder or type, and so on.
