Archibus SaaS / Foundations / System Administration
Configure Application Options
You have control over certain aspects of how the Archibus Foundations tasks operate. For example, you can control whether or not kiosk users accessing the Archibus Workspace have the ability to search. Each setting that you can control is known as an "application parameter."
Choose Foundations / System Administration / Configure Application Options. The task loads a view (ab-ess-def-activity-params.axvw
) listing all the application parameters (configuration options) that effect the operation of Archibus Foundations. The options are grouped according to the area of the program they effect, such as Corrective Maintenance or Reservations.
When getting started implementing Archibus Foundations at your site, take some time to review these options and their descriptions so that you are familiar with the type of settings you can control. As your site begins to work with Archibus Foundations, you can change these options to reflect the workflow and processes at your site.
Procedure
- Load the Foundations / System Administration / Configure Application Options task.
- Click on a parameter in the list, and its values display in the right pane.
- Review the Parameter Description for an understanding of the settings that you can make and their effect.
- As needed, change the default setting by editing the Parameter Value field.
- When through, click Reload All Parameters (located at the top of the left pane) in order to have your changes take effect.
- As staff at your site works with Archibus Foundations, the program will now follow the directions specified by these parameters.
