Equipment Reports
The Equipment reports -- found in the Asset Portal, Assets, Enterprise Assets, Telecom Assets, and Commissioning applications -- help you review, analyze, and print your equipment data. Some of the reports include a floor plan drawing developed in CAD; others present only an alphanumeric inventory of your equipment.
For Commissioning, these reports enable Operations Managers to review and analyze mechanical lifecycle tracking for existing buildings, as well as for newly commissioned building systems.
You access these reports in the following ways:
- From Assets / Assets and from Assets / Enterprise Assets, you access these reports using the Reports button from the Asset Lifecycle and Asset Disposal Consoles.
- From Assets / Enterprise Assets, you can additionally access these reports from the Reports button on the Project Proposal Console.
- From Telecom Assets / Telecom Management, the reports are listed as tasks.
- From the Asset Portal and Commissioning applications, you access these reports from tasks. For the Asset Portal, you can also access these reports from the Smart Client application.
The following key asset life-cycle metrics are available for each asset:
- Year Life Expectancy: based on industry standards, this is the mean service life data assigned at the equipment standard level.
- In-Service Date: Date equipment was placed in-service (as opposed to the Date Installed)
- Equipment Age (yrs): The reports dynamically determine the Equipment Age (yrs) based on current date minus in-service date;
- Remaining Life (yrs): The report dynamically determine remaining life based on Year Life Expectancy minus actual Equipment Age (yrs).
Using these metrics, you can see patterns developing by identifying buildings that have the most equipment with an Equipment Age that has exceeded the anticipated Years Life Expectancy for that equipment standard.
Equipment Standards Book
This report includes a selection list of all your equipment standards. When you click a standard in the selection list, the report presents the information stored for the selected Equipment Standards, including a graphic of the standard if one has been added. You can print a standard using the Print button.
For Commissioning, this report allows Operations Managers to define mechanical lifecycle tracking for existing equipment standards. You can associate the Years Life Expectancy, as well as the Classification Code with the standard, and thus with the equipment assets associated with the standard.
Equipment by Room
Set a restriction by building or floor and then select the floor to see details for the equipment assigned to that floor. You can generate a paginated report for this view. If you set a restriction, the report uses the restriction you set. (Smart Client only). This report is not available from the Commissioning application.
Equipment Plan
View a floor plan drawing that shows equipment asset symbols for the areas on the floor. When you click on an equipment asset in the drawing, a pop-up window shows details for the asset, including the image for the equipment standard for that piece of equipment if such an image exists. Below the drawing is a list with details for the equipment assigned to that floor. You can set a restriction to show only floors for a particular site or building, and can generate a paginated report that uses the restriction you set. For Commissioning, this report allows Operations Managers to review and analyze mechanical lifecycle tracking for existing buildings, as well as newly commissioned building systems.
Equipment Reports with an Excel Option
For the following reports, you can export the data to Excel (by clicking the XLS button) to manipulate or print the data.
- Equipment by Department: This report presents a drill down selection list of your departments by division. Select a department to see a list of the equipment for that department.
- Equipment by Floor: This report presents a drill down selection list of your floors by building. Select a floor to see a list of all the equipment assigned to that floor. (Web Central only)
- Equipment by Warranty: This report presents a list of your warranties. Select a warranty to see a list of all equipment covered by that warranty. You can also assign equipment to a warranty from this view. See View Equipment by Warranty.
- Equipment by Insurance Policy: This report presents a list of your insurance policies. Select a policy to see a list of all equipment covered by that policy. You can also assign equipment to a policy from this view. See View Equipment by Insurance Policy.
- Equipment Warranties and Service Contracts: If you have documented the warranties and service contracts covering each equipment item, you can use this set of reports to view your warranties and service contracts and their associated equipment items. Using the View Equipment Warranties and Service Contracts task, you can then select either the Equipment by Warranties or Equipment by Service Contracts tab, select a warranty or a service contract, and then review the equipment associated with your selection.
Leased Equipment Reports
Leases Expiring within 90 Days -- This report shows all leases whose End Date is within 90 days of the system date. Choose an expiring lease, and the right pane shows all equipment covered under this lease.
Jack Reports
Jacks by Room:Set a restriction by building or floor and then select a room to see a list of the jacks associated with that room. You can generate this report as a paginated report. If you set a restriction, the report uses the restriction you set. (Smart Client only) This report is not available from the Commissioning application.
Jack Plan: View a floor plan drawing that shows jack asset symbols for the areas on the floor. Below the drawing is a list with details for the jacks assigned to that floor. You can set a restriction to show only floors for a particular site or building, and can generate a paginated report that uses the restriction you set. This report is not available form the Commissioning application.
