Cost and Depreciation Reports
Using the following tasks, you can generate reports that analyze asset financial information. For each furniture and equipment item, you can check its current value, depreciation cost for particular periods, and accumulated depreciation.
These reports are available from Web Central and from the Smart Client:
- The Smart Client presents a grid view of the data. You generate the view as a report by selecting the Report command from the View group on the Ribbon toolbar. The report includes all the data shown on the screen, so you can set a restriction to generate the report for a subset of your data.
- From Web Central, the reports present a selection list. You select an item from the list to drill-down to see details for the selected item. This is an efficient way to quickly locate and review specific information. Use the Print icon to print data for a single selection.
Note: Before generating these reports, run the Recalculate Tagged Furniture Depreciation and Recalculate Equipment Depreciation tasks, so that the reports include the latest depreciation data. The Web Central view includes a button to recalculate the depreciation at the top of the panel.
- Tagged Furniture General Ledger Journal Entry
Equipment General Ledger Journal EntryThese reports present each depreciation log and then list furniture and equipment assets and their depreciation data (accumulated depreciation, current value, and depreciation expense) for the log's closing date.
- Tagged Furniture Depreciation Schedules
Equipment Depreciation SchedulesFor each tagged furniture and equipment item in your inventory, these reports present the item's accumulated depreciation, current value, and depreciation expense for each depreciation log. The reports list all tagged furniture and equipment items, including those for which depreciation is not calculated due to insufficient data or a log closing date that does not fall within the depreciation period.
