Define Waste Generators by Site

In order to legally generate waste, a company typically registers with the EPA (or other regulating authority) and the regulatory agency grants a license or authorization to this company, thereby recognizing them as a waste generator. Use this table to record information about your company's classification as a waste generator. You develop records by the site generating the waste, typically developing a record for each site for regulatory agency with which site is working.

You can enter the following information when defining waste generators by site:

Generator Code	Typically, you will complete this field with the registration ID or license number that your company received from the EPA (or other regulating authority).
Generator Name	Enter the name under which the license was obtained; this will likely be the name of your overall business or the business unit.
Generator Type	Choose Large Quantity, Small Quantity, or N/A to indicate the type of license that your company has received. For example, in the United States, RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) classifies waste generators as small quantity generators (SQG) or large quantity generators (LQG), depending upon how much waste they produce in a month and how many days they accumulate this waste on site.
Site Code	Select a site from the Waste Generators by Site list to define the waste generator for this site. You are required to associate sites with the waste generator.
Property/Building/Floor/Room	Enter the location within your site where this waste generator is located. If you are tracking waste in terms of properties, choose the property on which this generator is located. If you are tracking waste in terms of sites only, leave this field blank.
Contact Code	Use the field to enter the name of the person at the EPA (or other regulatory agency) who is responsible for certifying you as a waste generator and who issues your registration number.
