abatement worker

A person who removes lead, asbestos, mold, or other hazardous substances from a commercial building or private home. Abatement workers are usually certified in handling and removal of specific hazardous substances.

In Archibus, abatement workers are stored in the Hazardous Material Professionals table, which can track their accreditation information. A manager assigns an abatement worker to a specific job in a hazmat project by completing the Abatement Worker field of the hazard assessment item.
