Getting Results with Archibus / Asset Portal application

Equipment Assets Console task for Inventorying Telecom Equipment (Asset Portal application)

Many sites do not inventory the complete horizontal cabling system; inventorying just the work area equipment and jacks can provide a good starting point and valuable time-saving information. With just these components, you have a means of  recording your equipment, employees, extensions and software; that is to say, a catalog of the items you own and their disposition. This basic inventory has all the information you need for managing moves, servicing equipment through work orders, and querying the database for information such as Internet address, node name, employee assignment, and jack number.

From the Equipment Assets console, you can add or edit information for office and telecom equipment that is associated with a room asset in a CAD floor plan drawing.
