Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Business firms develop enterprise information models to integrate data from multiple sources. When asset managers and system administrators import various kinds of asset data into Archibus, connectors record source information for the data transfer. Archibus categorizes this information with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) fields.

Source Information for ERP Data

To integrate Archibus with other ERP systems - such as SAP, Oracle, IBM Maximo, or BUILDER SMS - data connectors import asset data from an external source. Many Archibus views have an ERP section, such as shown below, to track source information.

When a data transfer occurs, ERP data fields record source information, as well as date and time the transfer occurred. Information about data sources becomes important when managers must investigate inventory consistency across asset management system. If you need to export data from Archibus to the external systems, use Source System ID and Source Record ID for bi-directional updates, .
