direct emissions

Direct emissions are greenhouse gas emissions from sources that are owned or controlled by the reporting entity.

These emissions include stationary combustion emission from generation of on-site electricity, cooling, heat or steam, and fugitive emissions from intentional or unintentional releases. Direct emissions are also referred to as scope 1 emissions.
