Concept: Tracking Craftsperson Hours and Costs
In addition to tracking your work, you might want to also track craftsperson hours and actual costs for labor. You do this by scheduling specific craftsperson, entering the estimated hours for the job, and then updating the work with the hours after the work is completed. When you enter a craftsperson into the application, you can store the craftsperson's hourly rate which the application uses to calculate the actual cost of the work based on the hours the craftsperson took to complete the work. See:
Benefits of Tracking Craftspersons and Costs
Benefits of scheduling specific craftspersons, estimating their hours, and updating information for the work when it is completed include the following:
- By assigning specific craftspersons to the work, you can generate the Craftsperson Availability report that facilitates efficient scheduling by providing you with the hours craftsperson are already assigned and the hours they have available.
- You can use the Labor Scheduler, a graphical interface that enables you to perform scheduling by dragging and dropping craftsperson onto a calendar. See Scheduling Work Using the Labor Scheduler.
- The application uses the craftsperson hourly rate and the actual number of hours worked to calculate actual costs. You enter the hours when updating the work request. You can then analyze costs using the Maintenance Analysis Dashboards
