Adding Capital Programs

After defining capital program types, you can set up your capital programs. You set up capital programs according to the major categories that are part of your capital budget. For example, you could set up capital programs such as Administrative, Interior Systems, Elevators, or Lighting.

Adding Capital Programs

To add a capital program:

  1. Select the Request / Add or Edit Programs task, or select the Budget / Add or Edit Programs task.
    The Add or Edit Programs form appears. All of the currently defined programs are displayed in the left panel.
  2. Click Add New in the Programs panel.
  3. Enter the following required field:

    Program Name: This field uniquely identifies the program.

  4. Enter the following recommended field:

    Program Type: When you enter a capital program type, you can search for and review budgets by their type.

  5. Enter the following fields to describe the project.

    Program Description / Program Scope / Program Objectives / Program Summary

  6. Add any additional program information that is available.
  7. Click Save.

Adding Capital Programs by Type

To add capital programs by type:

  1. Select the Projects / Request / Add or Edit Programs by Type task.

    The Add or Edit Programs by Type form appears.

  2. From the Program Type list, select the type for which you want to add a program.

    The Programs panel displays the programs for the selected type.

  3. In the Programs panel, click Add New.

    The Edit Program panel displays the fields for adding the new program. The Program Type is filled in with the program type selection you made.

  4. Enter values for the Program Name, and Entered By fields.
  5. Add any additional program information that is available.
  6. Click Save.
