work order
A document directing maintenance shops to perform specified maintenance work. Work orders include:
- the specific maintenance task requirements (usually organized by craft, such as plumbing tasks, electrician tasks)
- estimates of labor, material, and equipment; coordinating instructions
- administrative and financial information.
In Archibus, work orders hold one or more work requests and are distributed to craftspersons and work teams for execution. A work order might consist of a group of work requests with similar properties, such as the same problem location or equipment item to service.
When all work requests are completed, you finalize the work information by closing out the work order.
