unscheduled work

Work that is assigned to a craftsperson, but is not scheduled. A Work Request Labor Assignments (WRCF) record exists, but the Date Craftsperson Assigned and Time Craftsperson Assigned fields are empty.

Supervisors may wish to assign work to a craftsperson for execution, but not schedule the work. Instead, the craftsperson will execute the work at their own discretion. This type of scheduling provides flexibility and provides unassigned time so that the craftsperson can respond to emergency situations that arise.

Unscheduled work is generated in these cases:

• From the Labor Scheduler, use the Assign button to assign one or multiple work requests to a craftsperson. With the Assign button, you do not schedule the work.

• A craftsperson self-assigns a work request.

• Using the Maintenance Console or Maintenance mobile app, a supervisor or craftsperson assigns a craftsperson to an Issued work request.

The Labor Scheduler view provides several features to support unscheduled work.
