equipment inventory
From production equipment, to boilers and air vents, to computer and networking equipment, to smoke detectors and fire alarms, facilities are filled with all types of equipment without which the day-to-day operation of the facility will be impaired.
Each item in the equipment inventory is precisely identified and has a unique key. Equipment inventories are stored in the Equipment table and can be represented on the Equipment drawing layer of a floor plan.
Because equipment items are individually tracked, you can track exact location, employee use, department ownership, depreciation, insurance, lease, and warranty data for each item.
Archibus offers several methods for entering equipment data:
- create records in the Equipment table using data entry view or Archibus consoles, such as the Asset Lifecycle Console.
- represent on floor plans your equipment with asset symbols, which link to Equipment records
- inventory equipment in the field with the Archibus Asset & Equipment Survey mobile app or Asset Registration mobile app
- import equipment information from Excel or CSV
