Updating the Commissioning Plan

For Commissioning, during the design phase, you can use the Gantt chart to update commissioning schedule as design professionals review design submissions and provide input. From the Update Commissioning Plan task, you work with Approved projects only, and you can see multiple projects on the timeline. If needed, you can use the Filter console to restrict the chart to include only specific work packages or action types, or only projects occurring within a Date Start and Date End that you enter.

To work with projects having any status, use the Commissioning Console. See Scheduling Actions Using the Management or Commissioning Consoles.

The design schedule estimates provide you with detailed information that supplements the initial baseline cost and schedule information that you gathered prior to approving a project.

Using the Gantt chart, you can:

• View a timeline for action items in the chart.
• Adjust the duration for an action item by dragging the bar for action items on the chart.
• Set a task as a predecessor task to indicate that it must occur before specified other task.
