A role determines the processes, tasks, and data to which a particular user has access. Typical roles are Guest, Maintenance Manager, Craftsperson, Business Process Owner, and so on.

The Archibus Roles table collects all groups for particular roles within an organization and matches Archibus security roles to SQL-level Security roles.

To establish security, an administrator assigns security groups to roles, which in turn are assigned to users. Each role can belong to multiple security groups and each user can belong to multiple roles.

Use the System / Business Process Owner / Assign Processes to Roles or Users task to assign roles to users.
