Workplace Usage Notes
The following are not known limitations, but are issues to be aware of:

Rebuilding Workplace After Customizing It. When you rebuild Workplace after customizing it, you will find that running the Yarn command is generating an error; however, you can download from AllBound a zip file for addressing this. For details, see Workplace Build process. (AD-15467)

Manage Request Types for Workplace. If you do not have a license for Corrective Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Maintenance SaaS module, or Foundations, you cannot create an SLA for problem types; the field should be disabled. The view includes instructions to let you know that you must own one of these applications. (AD-1899)

Workplace mobile app. The initial screen, on which you enter the server URL, flashes for about a half second before moving to the log-in screen. The server URL screen should not show at all after you enter a valid server. (AD-7237)

Workplace Mobile app. Tablet. Camera. When working with a tablet, if you are reporting maintenance issue and use the Upload Photos page to take a picture, you might experience that Workplace does not attach the picture. As a workaround, you can take the picture first and then use the From Photos option on the Upload Photos page to attach the picture to the request. (AD-7599)

Signing in. Staying signed in. If you check the "Keep Me Logged In" checkbox, minimize the application, and leave it for some time period (such as 30 minutes or more), you are prompted to log in again when you return to the app. If you minimize the app and return soon, you are not prompted. QR Codes. When using QR codes, note that the link generated will be using the absoluteAppPath attribute in \WEB-INF\config\context\compatibility\afm-config.xml.

Mobile browser. Cancel Series of Recurring Meeting. We have fixed a problem with scrolling from the Dashboard / Select My Bookings screen so that you can cancel a series of recurring meetings; however, on a mobile browser, you will need to dismiss the "Open in app" button to get the best experience. Bookmarked URLs with SSO. Using a shortcut to Workplace may result in a loading or login issue under some conditions. For example:
1. Enter URL : https://abcxyz.archibus.cloud/archibus/schema/ab-products/essential/workplace/ and you are redirected to Identity Provider.
2. Log in and successfully access Workplace and see the list of buildings.
3. Close the browser (not just the tab but the entire browser).
4. Open the browser with an empty tab and enter the URL from step 15. Receive error page with the loading icon.
This can occur when you use bookmarks to get to Workplace (typically because it has a long URL). The problem with the bookmark is that it triggers a browser cached index.html page. However, editing the bookmark URL to remove the trailing “/” can resolve the issue.

The second URL causes the browser to ask the server to interpret the URL instead of automatically trying to load a cached index.html page. The browser is better equipped to handle that redirect versus the cached index.html page. (AD-11219)
