Create Redlines by Location

If you spot a condition that needs to be remedied, using the Create Redlines by Location task, you can load the drawing, create the redlines, and then generate a service request if necessary.

To add redlines by location:

  1. Select the Workplace Services / Service Desk / Client / Create Redlines by Location task.
  2. Select a floor from the Floors list.
  3. The selected drawing loads.
  4. Use the icons on the drawing control to create red lines. For information on using these tools, see Adding Redlines to Drawings.
  5. Click Create Redlines as Service Request.
  6. The Create Service Request pop-up window appears.
  7. Select the Request Type, and follow the steps to fill out the service request. See Entering a Service Request.
  8. When you fill out the service request, the image file containing the redlines is uploaded to the appropriate Document field of the service request as a file attachment. The redlines are saved as vectors in the database along with all data needed to regenerate the redlined floor plan.
  9. When the Documents tab becomes active, you can review your redlines by clicking the Show Document button.
  10. To submit the service request, click Submit.
