plan type

Plan types have a few purposes in Archibus:

• define a highlight pattern for highlights used in mobile apps
• define a highlight pattern for highlights used in Web Central, such as in the mark-up features of the Space Planning / Space & Portfolio Planning Console
• in the Space Console, display floor plans with an established set of criteria (color highlight theme, text labels, text height, etc).
• define how to print a drawing from the Space Inventory / Space Manager / Space Console by controlling such properties as the list of text fields, text height, color highlighting theme, and legend
• the WORKPLACE - ROOM NAMES record is used for displaying the room names in the Meeting Space reservation sequence in Workplace. This record exists in the schema database and is added to all new projects.

Plan types are stored in the Active Plan Types (active_plantypes) table.

The Plan Type Groups (plantype_groups) table controls whether or not a plan type is active for a particular mobile app or Web Central view.
