Entering Data for Company Owned Transportation (Air)
Use the Company-Owned Transportation tab to record the distance traveled using company-owned aircraft by aircraft type. To calculate emissions, the application uses the aircraft factors entered for this aircraft type using the protocol identified by the Aircraft Emissions Version entered on the Building Footprint Details tab.
To enter data for your annual use of company-owned aircraft:
- Select Carbon Footprint - Track / Enter Building Footprint Data.
- After entering and saving information on the Building Footprint Data tab, click the Direct Emissions (Scope 1) tab
- Select the Company-Owned Transportation (Air) tab, and click Add New.
- In the Company-Owned Vehicle Transportation (Aircraft) Source panel, enter the following:
Type of Aircraft: Select the type of aircraft, such as Fixed Wing Piston, or Fixed Wing Turbojet.
Hours Flown: Enter the hours flown for this aircraft type for the year.
- Click Save.
The application calculates greenhouse gas emissions for this source, and displays the emissions in the upper Footprints panel.
