move action

Defines work that an employee or craftsperson must accomplish as part of a move, such as connecting a PC that you move to the jacks in the new location. Other actions might include: testing ports, cleaning the destination room, confirming that network access is established, physically moving the furniture and equipment, and so on.

Move coordinators detail the tasks of a move by using the Actions tab of the Move Console to create move actions for a move, and assign them for execution. Move coordinators can also edit move actions as work progresses.

Craftspersons and telecom personnel can then execute the specific actions. If they have access to the Archibus, they can update the system with the results using tasks such as Edit Data Actions and Edit Craftspersons Actions.

Move actions are stored in the Activity Log Items table.
