mission criticality

An assessment of how important the asset is in support of mission processes. The selections are Noncritical, Support, or Critical.

For example: A diffuser that supplies conditioned air to a storage closet is not critical to mission processes, while a diffuser that supplies conditioned air to a data center is critical in support of mission processes since the data center is mission critical.

A given asset may be non-critical functionally but mission critical. For example, the diffuser that supplies the data center is not functionally critical to the air handling unit, but it is mission critical. Or, it could be critical to the functionality and the mission. for example, the AHU fan motor of the HVAC system that supports the data center is both mission and functionally critical.
