Commissioning Equipment: Financials

From the Financials tab of the Equipment Commissioning Details tab, you can review, edit, or add financial information for a selected equipment asset.

To add financials information

  1. Select the Commission Equipment task.
  2. From the Equipment Code list, select the equipment asset for which you want to add financial information.

    The Edit Financial Information form appears.

  3. Enter the following information as needed:
    FieldDescription
    Property TypeSelect the classification that determine how depreciation values are calculated. Property Types are defined as background data for the Assets / Asset Portal / Depreciation process.
    Purchase DateUse this field to document the date you purchase an item. Note that depreciation calculations use the Install Date and not this date to determine depreciation expenses.
    Purchase PriceEnter the price you paid for the equipment. Complete this field if you intend to track depreciation.

    Purchase Order Code

    P.O. Line Number

    If needed, these fields can be used to document purchase order information. For Purchase Order Code and P.O. Line Number, you will first need to develop a list of validated values by completing the Purchase Order and Purchase Order Line Items tables. The default schema does not include views that present these tables; you will need to use the New View command to create views to access the PO and PO_LINE tables.
    P.O. NumberIf needed, this field stores the purchase order number in the Equipment table.
    Salvaged?If you decide to get rid of old equipment, but still want to track it in the database, use this field to document that the equipment is salvaged and no longer being used. Note that even if this value is set to Yes, the program's calculation routines act on this equipment item.
    Date SalvagedIf you enter Yes for Salvaged?, complete this field with the date you considered the equipment item salvaged.
    Salvage ValueThe salvage value of the item. Complete this field if you intend to track depreciation.

    Depreciation Years

    Depreciation Value

    The number of years over which the equipment is depreciated, and the value of the equipment after depreciation is calculated. You can manually enter these value, or the application can enter them if you are using the Assets domain's depreciation features. See Depreciation Concepts.
  4. Click Save.
