Detailed Workflow of a Hazmat Project
The below flowchart provides a detailed overview of using the Archibus Hazard Abatement application to manage a hazmat project. As you review this flowchart, consider that the Hazard Abatement application is not intended to enforce this, or any, specific workflow; it is flexible enough to support all of the components depicted in the flowchart, in any order that your organization may want to follow.
Note the following about this flowchart:
- This flowchart represents a workflow that uses assessment items as well as activity items (service requests and action items). For information on using activity items to manage your hazmat work, see activity item management tools.
- The exact workflow that you follow and the level of detail that you implement will vary depending on the hazardous substance that you are managing.
- Blue boxes represent the basic process; pink, red, andpurple boxes represent optional processes. For example, it is not necessary to do a field audit to estimate the cost of an inspection or the cost of response actions; if the hazmat issue needs immediate attention, you might just go ahead and inspect the items and abate problems without going through a formal budgeting process.
