Accessing the Asset Portal Tasks from Assets and Enterprise Assets
The Enterprise Assets and Assets applications include the tasks of the Asset Portal.
When working from either the Assets or the Enterprise Assets applications, you access the Asset Portal tasks in the following ways:
- Depreciation Process. From the Depreciation process of the Assets or the Enterprise Assets applications, you can set up and calculate depreciation for your furniture and equipment. See Depreciation: Process Overview.
- Furniture Standards Inventory process. From the Furniture Standards process of the Assets or the Enterprise Assets applications, you can review reports for your furniture standards inventory. See Furniture Standards Inventory process.
- Reports button. On the following consoles, the Reports button offers the Asset Portal reports. See Reports for the Enterprise Assets and Assets Applications.
- The Asset Lifecycle Console
- Asset Disposal Consoles
- Project Proposal Console (Enterprise Assets only)
The consoles of Enterprise Assets and Assets applications provide the same function as the Asset Portal tasks -- such as developing an inventory of equipment and furniture, and calculating depreciation; however, these consoles also present the Asset Portal tasks as an alternative way of working and convenience for those accustomed to working the Asset Portal interface.
